Winter Blast

 Dearest Precious Angels-

Whew .... Grace, Joshua, and I got up at 4:30am so we could leave by 5:30am to head to Camp Durant in Carthage, NC. We got there by 7am for Winter Blast. Our Troops .... 321B/321G .... are taking Merit Badge classes this weekend and I'm one of the adult leaders for the girl side. Here's what you all took:

Joshua- First Aid, Inventions, and Electricity
Grace- Geocaching and Orienteering, Search and Rescue, Camping, and Basketry

We all stayed at the Persimmon Camp Shelter.

Ms Katie and I hiked 7.25 miles around the Camp exploring and learning about Camp Durant while people were in classes. This is where the Girls are going for Summer Camp in June.

It was extremely windy during the day .... blowing our tents! Which also made it colder. Thankfully the wind died down in the evening .... but the temperature dropped to 29 degrees overnight!! Brr! We earned 3 frost points for this campout!
