Day Of Canoeing

 Dearest Precious Gifts-

The calm after the storm .... after the storms last night and early this morning, Joshua and I woke to a beautiful sunrise.   Which is why I pointed our tent towards the lake.  ;-)  I took pictures and walked around before waking Joshua.   :-)

The rest of the day we spent doing the requirements for the canoe merit badge.  I was Joshua's canoe buddy and we had to perform different forms of capsizing, flipping the canoe, paddling, single paddling for Joshua, etc .... we had fun and definitely earned that badge!  The swim requirement we didn't get done since they weren't doing it.  But, we completed everything else.  And, Joshua met with Chris Bailey, the Scoutmaster, to officially earn the rank of Scout!  I was so proud of him.  I could tell he was hesitant about the canoe capsizing .... especially the second time we had to do it .... but since I was willing to do it and we were there .... I gently encouraged him to get it done with me.  You were so proud of yourself after .... and I was too!

We were back in our tent by 10pm for the night before the rains came back.  I'm so blessed to be here to witness and be apart of your first Boy Scout merit badge!  :-)  I love you so much!
