Speech And Playdate

Dearest Miracles-

Grace, you had your speech evaluation this morning. We had a 9am appointment but we left early since I wasn't sure where I was going in Wake Forest. ;-) You did really well! The therapist took you to an adjacent room (there wasn't room for all of us and that way she could focus on you) and I stayed with Joshua (you're on Spring Break), Faith, and the twins in the little play waiting room. Grace, the therapist said you were very smart! ;-) She tested you on words and had you tell the story of our Easter egg hunt yesterday so she could listen to you. She agreed that there are areas that we need to improve .... the lisp and confusion of some letters. But, she thinks you'll be a quick learner and will fine once kindergarten starts in the Fall. So, we're going to start weekly sessions for you Monday mornings. :-)

Once home, Stephanie, Charlie, and Madelynn came over for lunch and a play date! They were here for around 3.5 hours and you all had a blast playing together. I was impressed at how well you all got along! The boys enjoyed the Wii and the girls played with toys and put on different dresses. ;-) Jacob and Jeremiah wandered around and took little naps. Ha!

Once they left, we did some cooking, had a snack, and played until daddy got home. ;-)
