Discharged

Dearest Joshua David, Grace Elizabeth, Faith Olivia, Jacob Samuel, and Jeremiah William-

Today we had some adventure. The ice did not thaw on our driveway, so we were stuck with the car and van in the garage. Daddy had to work from home again. I had my physical therapy appointment and by the time I called Grandpa Jim to tell him about the driveway, he was already here with Uncle James .... Uncle James was going to watch you all since we thought daddy would be at work.

With the ice on the driveway, Grandpa Jim's truck spun out and got wedged in the mailbox. Doh! He and daddy called a tow truck, Uncle James watched you all, and I walked to my appointment since it was only a little over a mile away. ;-)

The good news is that the truck barely got a scratch, the mailbox is fine (just loose), no one was hurt, and (after 14 months) I got discharged from physical therapy! Woo hoo! She was impressed with how much stronger I've gotten. The muscles will never be completely the way they were before, and the loose skin may always be there .... but I'm healthier and I've done pretty good for having 5 kids so close in age! She gave me some more exercises too. :-) You all can continue to encourage me! ;-) Plus, I've been walking at least 4 miles a day in daily activities since December 14th .... go us!

Joshua, you started to get lethargic after lunch. This evening you threw up several times, but you did not have a fever. I'm hoping this is short lived and that you'll be fine tomorrow. I hate when you all are sick!

Sleep tight little ones!

I love you all so much!

-Mommy
