Today is Memorial Day! And, since it's a holiday, we had another family day! Daddy and I had a great idea to take you all on a day trip for fun .... we may not get a lot more opportunities to take trips with the twins coming. We're 20 weeks gestation and have our next OB appointment on Wednesday. Keep praying for a healthy pregnancy!
After breakfast we loaded up and headed to the NC Zoo! Joshua just learned about zoo/circus animals, so we thought it would be fun for you all to see some in person!
We got there a little before 10:30am and left at 4pm .... boy were our feet tired! Haha!
We saw all the animals, ate lunch there, had a popcorn snack, rode the tram, explored North America and Africa, and did a LOT of walking! You all were troopers .... especially Joshua .... you barely rode in the wagon. Faith fell asleep at the end .... I can't believe you stayed awake that long! Grace fell asleep on the drive back.
Sounds like the elephants were hit! Joshua also liked the geyser and snakes. Grace liked the flamingoes because they were pink. ;-) Grace did not like the bats! ;-) We all liked the ostrich .... which came right up to the fence! Truth be told, the lions and bears were duds since they were sleeping. :-P
We got home and ate dinner by 6pm. Then we had a brownie treat to end our family vacation weekend. ;-) Our dishwasher still isn't working and actually started to leak while we were gone .... oh no! Daddy got it to stop, but we're not sure what we need to do at this point. We've been hand washing everything for two days now. :-P
You three got a bath this evening before bed and I took some pictures of you all .... they were cute! What a fun family day!
