The weather is suppose to get bad today so daddy worked from home so Penny would not have to travel. Joshua's school was closing early, so he just stayed home with the girls and daddy to make things easier. Joshua and Grace were sleeping when I left for work.
Surprisingly, I actually saw a good number of patients before the snow started to come down. We cancelled the afternoon patients since it started to snow around noon. I left work around 12:30pm .... this was the first time I've driven with snow coming down! Surprisingly the slickest part was our own driveway. :-P
I got home around 1pm. Faith was napping and everyone had already eaten lunch. I ate and took Joshua and Grace upstairs. You all helped with a Valentines project for daddy and then I had you all resting on the couch by 2pm. It was still snowing! Grace fell asleep rather quickly. Once Joshua fell asleep I went on the exercise bike.
The snow was still falling by late afternoon. I got word that by 3:30pm one of my coworkers was still stuck on the roads .... as were some of my peers in the pediatrics department. But they eventually made it home after 4 hours!
After dinner we picked some instruments and watched some Olympics .... Go USA! UNC was suppose to play a basketball game against DOOK, but DOOK wimped out and cancelled the game 'because of the weather' .... what losers! UNC traveled to GA a few weeks ago in an ice storm to play basketball (and won), yet DOOK couldn't travel 8 miles. What garbage! They were obviously scared to play in the Dean Dome packed with students! Also, they could have borrowed trackers from NC State to make the trip! Haha! Go Heels!
