Big Trunk Or Treat

Happy Sunday!

Sounds like you girls had fun during the All-Girl Camporee in Midland, NC. Originally planned for Camp Grimes, you all needed to adapt and overcome due to some damage caused by Hurricane Helene. The program was modified a bit, but still a very fun and educational trip at Belk Scout Camp.

You all made a Disco Dinos Patrol flag while there. You all did the climbing tower and crafting station in the morning. Beginning at 1:30pm all of the patrols competed in a 6-part Skills Competition. There was fire building, Scout Trivia, Chair Lift lashings, emergency shelter, Kim’s mystery game, and First Aid. You all had fun and learned a few new things!

Once home, I took Faith to a Pediatric Urgent Care to evaluate her arm. Looks like a skin infection and it started to ooze during the campout. They put bacitracin ointment on it and prescribed cephalexin antibiotic. We'll check for improvement in a few days.

This afternoon we went to the big Trunk or Treat near our house at Bayleaf Church. We had hamburgers, ice cream, snow cones, popcorn, donuts, candy, and lots of fun! I took photos and videos of you all. And, we got food to take home so lunches are made for a few days!
