2 Hour Delay And Endocrinologist Appointment

Happy Wednesday!

Today the schools ran on a 2 hour delay because of the potential of black ice on the roadways. I took you all in this morning and only encountered some small patches of ice on the carpool parking lots.

Joshua, you had an appointment with the pediatric endocrinologist this afternoon. Grace went too since it was easier to pull both of you at the same time from school.

Based on your growth charts, bone fusions, and puberty characteristics .... you hit puberty early (likely because you were premature) and now at the tail end. She doesn't think you'll grow much more (you're around 5'4" now). They did a blood draw to check thyroid and hormone levels.

It wasn't the news you wanted to hear, and I could tell you were sad about that. But the important thing is that you're healthy. We'll see what the blood draw shows. Afterwards, I took you (and Grace) to get a Crumbl Cookie to boost your spirits.
