Dearest Precious Gifts-After two years we finally went back .... today we went to the NC State Fair! It was cancelled last year due to COVID. This year it came back and we spent 6 hours there! We got there around 9am and left around 3pm!
Gigi, Grandpa Jim, and Uncle James met us there but we stayed later. We saw the biggest pumpkin (just shy of 2000 lbs!), biggest watermelon, lots of animals .... pigs and piglets (Grace's favorite), chickens and chicks, cows, ponies, sheep, goats, bunnies, ducks, turkeys .... lots of people, saw the rides, paintings, photographs, loads of crafts on display .... there was so much to see. We walked through the town of 'yesteryear' and saw the blacksmiths. We even walked down to see Cousin Stephanie and sang 'Happy Birthday' to her!
Our feet were tired afterward! But, everyone had fun!
