Girls On The Run 5K

 Dearest Precious Angels-

Grace .... today was your Girls On The Run 5K race!  The race course was shorter than last semester .... it clocked in at 2.98 miles on my watch and we finished at 33:08 .... which is 11:06 min/mi pace.  In our last race, we ran 11:20 min/mi pace!  Woo hoo Grace!  I'm so proud of your improvement!  And, I'm so blessed that I get to be your Run Buddy!  We came in second place .... and we were leading the race after the turn around for about half a mile!  Way to go!  :-)  You ran so fast you blew the sole off your right shoe!  Haha!  Actually, your shoe started to come apart so I had to remove it with about half a mile to go.  ;-)

Grandpa Jim ran a marathon at the same time we were running.  He finished the Tobacco Road Marathon in 4:51:41 and placed third in his age group!  Wow!

The weather was absolutely gorgeous today!  We spent most of it outside.  Joshua didn't want to go to the pool, so he ran errands with daddy.  I took the younger four to the pool for two hours.  The water was cold, but you all still dunked all the way in!  I only got wet from my knees down.  Haha!
