Bike Ride On Greenway Trails

 Dearest Joshua David, Grace Elizabeth, Faith Olivia, Jacob Samuel, and Jeremiah William-

This weekend was a success! 

Joshua, you had fun at your Boy Scout campout!  You shared a tent with your buddy Gavin.  You all played games yesterday and taught younger scouts from Pack 321 how to tie knots and other activities.  Daddy picked you up this morning.  This was your first time being away from all siblings and both parents for two days!  I'm so proud of you!  :-)

Jacob and Jeremiah, you two had a blast at your sleepover at Gigi's house.  You all played video games and went on hikes with Grandpa Jim and Uncle James.  One hike was 5 miles!  Wow!

Grace and Faith, I took you all to NY Bagel and Deli for breakfast.  ;-)  We each had a bagel and then split some muffins.  Grace, you got a letter back last night from a Pheonix named Phil since the Tooth Fairy Company was running behind schedule.  You thought the letter was cool!   ;-)

By mid morning, I took you two on a bike ride through the Greenway trails.  We rode on the Abbott's Creek trail, up to the school, around the school and little track, and down the Neuse River trail all the way down to the dam off Old Falls of the Neuse.  Wow!  I rode behind you all on Clover and we had a blast!  I had you all practice your gear shifting and both of you all are comfortable on the 24" gear shifting bikes.  I such such fun with you two!  We're estimating on the maps that we went 15 miles .... we stopped and took water breaks and you all played at the playground at the school.  We left at 9am and got home at 11am.  :-)
