Dilemma

Today was an Asynchronous School Day for you all.  Everyone was done with their school work by lunch time.  I helped Jacob and Jeremiah do their paper homework assignments that Ms Newman sent home.  :-)

Grace, your scar is looking a lot better.  I've been cleaning it each day and putting a new bandage with cream.  The scar is slowly healing .... I'm hoping it will be minimal.

So, daddy and I have been contemplating something for a while.  We currently have a 3 bedroom house and are obviously on top of each other everytime we turn around. We had a contractor come out to take a look at our house today to get a quote on what it would take to add space to our house to create an extra bedroom (or two). 

So, here's our dilemma ....

The market is great to sell right now .... but then we'd have to buy into it for a new house. If we reconfigure our existing house, we might have to get rid of our existing bonus room, which we think is a nice selling point. 

So, would buyers rather have a 3 bedroom and large bonus room house .... or a 5 bedroom and no bonus room house? 

Would we also price ourselves out of our own neighborhood if we renovated the house to our needs? 

We live in the Falls River subdivision and houses have been selling like hot cakes all around us. Our neighbors (10000 Duval Street) just put theirs on the market today for $375K and it's assessed for $305K. 

We live at 10009 Duval Street and it's assessed at $395K (we bought it in 2010 for $300K) .... so could probably sell for a good chunk of change .... or potentially renovate what we have with the risk that people wouldn't like what we did when we need to sell it. 🤣

Decisions .... decisions .... we also reached out to a realtor friend to get their input. 

Grace, you had Girls on the Run this afternoon and ran about 2 miles.  :-)
