Tornado

Dearest Blessings-

Today was an exciting day .... filled with severe thunderstorm warnings and tornado watches!

Joshua, your school closed 3 hours early so that everyone could get home safely. So, I had you back home by 12:45pm. The twins took a little nap so that I could help you with your homework.

By late afternoon, it got pretty dark and a tornado had touched down in Wake Forest .... which is near us. Our power flickered throughout the day too.

I gathered you 5 and two flashlights into the downstairs half bathroom. It was a tight fit, but we stayed in there for a while. I put some music on my phone to keep us company and checked the weather every ten minutes or so.

For the most part, you all did well. You all were definitely scared, especially Grace, but I was too and that's to be expected with storms. We were finally out of the bathroom and calling Gigi to check on them by 6:45pm. Daddy made it home around 7:45pm. I was glad when everyone was safe and sound at home. :-)
