Happy 5th Birthday!

Dearest Joshua David, Grace Elizabeth, Faith Olivia, Jacob Samuel, and Jeremiah William-

Happy 5th birthday to little Grace! Five years ago today you were our gift! I can't believe you are already five years old! Wow time flies by! What a blessing you are!

We had a fun day filled with birthday fun. We baked our cookie cake this morning. Then we baked some pesto chicken. We added salad and bread. What a nice lunch! Grandpa Jim, Gigi, Uncle James, Great Grandpa, Uncle Brennan, Aunt Katie, and Felix all came over for lunch. We sang (which was also the first thing I did for Grace when she woke up - ha!) ate, and opened presents! Grace, you got a Cinderella dress, a Cinderella doll, Minion toys, bags, and a play princess kitchen with accessories! Whoa!

Just as a side note, once again, your paternal grandparents were no where to be found for one of their grandchildren's birthdays. Your mimi and grandpa mike are heartless people to not acknowledge you, or any of your siblings, for your birthday. There is no excuse for that and they have clearly made it known that they do not wish to be involved in any of our lives. Quite frankly, the day they walked out was a blessing in disguise. I thank God each day that you have role model grandparents in Gigi and Grandpa Jim.

After everyone left, we took a family walk on the greenway .... what a gorgeous day! Then we loaded everyone up for a fun dinner at Dickeys. Jacob and Jeremiah, you two tried .... and loved .... ice cream. ;-)

Side note, this is also Dean Smith's birthday .... go Heels! ;-)

Grace, what a blessing you are! I love you so much. The world became a better place when you (and all your siblings) were born! Happy Birthday!
