9/11

Dearest Joshua David, Grace Elizabeth, Faith Olivia, Jacob Samuel, and Jeremiah William-

Today is the 23rd anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attack on the Twin Towers. The local fire station was outside standing at attention this morning as I drove by for morning carpool. You all had a moment of silence while in school this morning.

Joshua and I had eye doctor appointments today. I'm excited about my new glasses .... they have a lot of color around the rims. Joshua, you got your signature black. ;-)

I took you all to Taekwondo practice this evening. Grand Master Chang led the class so it was a little harder than usual but it was fun. :-)

Beautiful Weather

 Dearest Precious Angels-

Happy Tuesday! Today was a work and school day for everyone. It was a late work day and Joshua got dropped off at the office after school. We got home a little before 6pm.

The weather was nice today .... I was able to get a 3 mile run done at lunch. :-)

This evening we watched some American Ninja Warrior before bedtime.

4th Black Stripe

 Dearest Precious Angels-

Happy Monday! Today was a work and school day for everyone. I was able to get a 3 mile walk/run during my lunch break. Woo hoo!

After school I took you all to Taekwondo practice. Monday's class focuses on forms/poomsae. We were able to earn our 4th and last black stripe for doing the form ourselves. So, we're officially 'ready' for testing but we still need to practice another month since testing is October.

Bible Study And Praying For Students

 Dearest Miracles-

Happy Sunday!

Today at church we all prayed for God's protection for all the students, teachers, and staff for this new school year. You five went onto the stage for us to pray over you all. Then the whole church went outside to the park for hotdogs and games. :-) Grandpa Jim met us at church.

Once home we didn't have a lot of time to change and regroup for the afternoon. You all had 321 Troop and Pack meetings. Then I took the girls to their Middle School girl Bible Study .... so we didn't get home until 8pm.

But we still had time to watch a replay of the final match in sitting volleyball for the Paralympics .... the USA women won Gold! This was the last day of the games. Now we have to wait two years for the Winter Games!

I love you all so much!

Cold Pool Water

 Dearest Precious Angels-

Happy Saturday! We went to Weapons/Self Defense class this morning and learned how to fall and protect ourselves getting up. Then we went to our belt class to work on punches and kicks.

Afterwards, we went to Zaxby's for a fun lunch. The weather was gorgeous this afternoon. Jacob and Jeremiah .... you two went to Ronin's house to play. I took the older three to the pool though the water is starting to get colder.

For dinner we made homemade individual pizzas and then watched the Paralympics, which end tomorrow.

Jumping Snap Kicks

 Dearest Miracles-

Happy FriYAY!

Today we had some beautiful weather! Grace, you ran the mile during PE today and then played soccer right after. So, after carpool you were tired. :-P You all decided to just go to board breaking class this evening vs sparring and then board breaking.

For class, all of us did a jumping snap kick .... except Jeremiah who did his signature tornado kick. :-)

Once home we all watched the Paralympics together before bedtime.

I love you all so much!

3 Hour Drive Home

 Dearest Miracles-

Happy Thursday!

Today just wasn't our day to make it to taekwondo class this afternoon. Thursday is the early class and starts at 4:30pm.

I left work at 1:50pm and headed over to pick up Joshua. Every road was backed up on the way to West Millbrook and then ACES. We didn't leave Abbott's Creek until after 4:20pm. There was no way we could make it to class and get dressed before the class would start. So we headed home since everyone had homework. By the time we got home, I had been in the van doing carpool for 2 hours and 50 minutes. Ugh.

We'll try again tomorrow. At least we were able to watch some Paralympics before bedtime.

Sleep tight little ones!

I love you all so much!
